Michael Joseph Sandborn, age 64, of Story, Wyoming peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Mike was born February 4, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Jim and Rita Sandborn. He was raised in Mequon, Wisconsin with his four sisters; Mary, Sharyn, Janice and Karrie. He attended Catholic Church as an Alter Boy, was an honorable member of the Eagle scouts, and, of course, was a die hard Green Bay Packers fan to the end. Mike was wed three times. First to Linda Schiessl in October 1974. They lived in Story, Wyoming until they were divorced in 1977. Mike married Smoky Reindahl in April 1979. They were married for 22 years, living in Story, Wyoming and raising three beautiful souls Jessica, Michael and Jedediah. Mike then married Cheryl Zach in November 2001. They lived in Story until moving to Sheridan where he lived out his final years. Mike enjoyed teaching his children the love of the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and his hobby of gardening and woodworking. Throughout his life, he worked as a carpenter, a woodworker, and a construction worker in Wyoming. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his children; Jessica, Michael (Jenny), and Jedidiah (Destiney), his grandsons; Coalson, Blakley, Hunter, T.J., Mavrik, Karter, and Aldermoon. Mike also has three step children and a step grandchild. He is preceded in death by James and Rita Sandborn and his infant sister Susan Jane. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019. at Quiet Rest Cemetery with a reception to follow at Story Woman Club.
