Reverend William L. Cummins, 93, of Story, WY, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at the VA Medical Center.

Reverend Cummins was born on January 18, 1924, to parents, Vernon and Edith (Martin) Cummins in Dawson, NE.

After returning from overseas, where he served as an Army Air Corp mechanic during World War II, he married Carol Sloan on February 15, 1946.  They spent 67 years together.  He was a Missionary for the Assembly of God Church throughout his life, and a Carpenter by trade to provide for his family.  At the age of 78, he taught himself to use a computer.  He started a website, “Pastor’s Thoughts” that had responses from 52 countries around the world.  He also sent out daily devotionals to friends and family using email and Facebook.  God use this very quiet, humble man to reach people on a daily basis.  He pastored and built many churches throughout Alaska, Idaho, Texas and Wyoming.  He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing in Kodiak, Alaska with his six sons.

Reverend Cummins was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol, his youngest son Paul,and three brothers.  He is survived by his sons, Steven (Robbie) Cummins of Kennedy, TX, Wesley (Brenda) Cummins of Richmond, TX, Daniel Cummins of McCall, ID, Phillip (Kim) Cummins of Story, WY, and Jon Cummins of Sheridan, WY.  Also by sisters Dorothy Dykes of Leavenworth, KA, Shirley Shirley of Smiths, AL, thirteen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and an Inurnment will be held in Idaho.
