Mildred Bybee, 96 year old Buffalo resident who passed away early Saturday morning at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the Union Congregational Church in Buffalo with Reverend Dr. Bob Miller officiating.  Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral.

Mildred Mae Bybee was born on October 29, 1920 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Fred and Ella Bennick.  She grew up went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1938.  She was married on January 16, 1938 in Buffalo to Frank Bybee and they ranched on Shell Creek north of Buffalo until 1944.  They also lived and ranched in Kaycee.  They retired in 1972 and lived in Buffalo.  Mr. Bybee passed away in October of 1976 and Mildred continued living in Buffalo until her death.   Mildred was an avid gardener and loved to crochet, knit and make quilts.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Bybee and his wife Linda of Buffalo and Tom Bybee and his wife Glenda of Moorcroft; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, three brothers and one grandson.
