Last December, a new Hemp Farming Act was added to the 2018 Farm Bill, allowing for the commercial production and sale of hemp-delivered products.

Last week, the Wyoming House of Representatives passed legislation for the sale and production of the crop in the state.

Here’s State Representative Richard Tass on the hemp bill…

Hemp and marijuana are different species of the cannabis plan, with hemp having less than 3 tenths of a percent of THC.

The Wyoming Legislature legalized he use of “hemp” extracts that would again be less than 3 tenths of a percent of the psychoactive compound of the cannabis plant for prescription use by those suffering from epilepsy or seizure disorders.

The Farm Bill provides for the crop to be highly regulated for both personal and industrial production.
