The vaccination procedure is moving right along at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, with the expectation of reaching 6,000 by today.

In fact, according the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jon Addlesperger, the hospital and Sheridan Public Health are moving to Priority list 1c…

Dr. Addlesperger, during a press briefing yesterday, indicated that he anticipates the hospital’s allotment of the Pfiser vaccine will increase to 4800 for the month of March.

With the success of the vaccination clinic, he also hopes the hospital will be able to open the vaccination process to anyone sometime next month… pending authorization from the Wyoming Department of Health…

During that same briefing, hospital CEO Mike McCafferty reported that the number of COVID cases continue to decline with only 5 new cases within the previous 24 hours and this week has been the first time in several months that there has been no COVID patients admitted to the hospital…

The hospital is struggling to notify all residents in the Priority 1b list by phone and there is some concern that those receiving the calls may not recognize the incoming phone number.  That number will continue to be 675-4476.
