With schools starting next week in the area, Buffalo’s Mayor Shane Schrader is reminding all motorists that it is illegal to pass a school bus with red flashing lights.
When you see a school bus, assume children will be around, leave lots of space.
When the bus turns on its yellow flashing lights, it is preparing to stop to unload or load children be prepared and cautious of your surroundings.
When the bus turns its lights red that means stop in both directions, give plenty of space and if you are not sure what to do STOP and error on the side of safety.
