The Sheridan Police Department reported a series of car thefts recently in Sheridan, including one incident where the individual entered a running vehicle that was warming-up and moved the vehicle from it’s parked location. Lieutenant Travis Koltiska said that there have been multiple cases of similar thefts in the last few days.
Koltiska went on to report that SPD was able to apprehend the suspected individual of Tuesday’s theft in an extremely quick manner.
Koltiska reminds residents that even while Sheridan is fortunate enough to have a relatively low crime rate, residents should still take precautions to protect themselves and their property by locking their doors.
