Earlier this month, Johnson County Facilities Manager David Eads updated the Commissioners on the ongoing efforts to secure the county’s voting equipment in secure storage.
Eads preference of creating a small room inside of the current vault was supported by the Commission.
Eads told the Commission that he would not be damaging the older tile floor as it may contain asbestos and would increase the cost if it were part of the construction project.
