The Johnson County Healthcare Center is serious about its volunteers.

According to Lawrence, there are currently 50 volunteers that are used throughout the healthcare center’s many program areas such as hospice, the Amie Holt Care Center and the Happy Apple Gift Shop.
In visiting with the center’s department heads, there is a need for more volunteers in more service areas such as welcoming and directing visitors to the healthcare center and assisting with patient hospitality and activities.
Background checks are necessary and a volunteer services webpage will be available soon which will include volunteer areas of need as well as an online application.
