The August primary is less than 3 months away and the effort to inform the Johnson County residents of the Community Improvement Project Plan is in full swing.

Yesterday, JOCO First Chairman Rick Myers, Kevin Bettinger, and Laci Schiffer presented the plan to the Buffalo Kiwanis Club during a noon luncheon and after providing the details of the plan, Myers echoed much of the message he’s shared as a returning guest on the KBBS Morning Show…

Bettinger stressed that no one likes taxes, but maintaining useful facilities is important as we prepare for the future…

By combining the improvement plans for the nine separate taxpayer-owned facilities, the plan will impact “every” resident in Johnson County.

Myers and other members of the “Citizens for Building the Future of Johnson County” will present the plan to the Buffalo Rotary Club on at noon today.

The $36 million plan will be considered by the county’s voters in the August 17th primary.
