SHERIDAN, WY— Do you love a fun-filled day on the trail? Whether you like to run, walk, bike, hike, or just poke around looking at the plants and animals, Sheridan Community Land Trust has just what you’re looking for as Trailfest 2019 returns to the mountain Saturday morning, August 24.

Trailfest 2019, non-competitive trail event and fundraiser for Sheridan Community Land Trust, will take place at Red Grade Trails and features a raffle ride, a raffle run/walk, yoga on the mountain, kids adventures, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn raffle tickets for prizes including a Giant ATX 2 all-terrain mountain bike from Sheridan Bicycle Co., Topo Athletic running shoes, a kids adventure package from Growing Goats and much more!

Start the day at with yoga on the mountain, led by Asia Stockwell of Maven Massage and Bodywork in Sheridan. After that, the adult raffle ride and raffle run/walk will begin. Want to run and ride? No problem! You can do all the events and earn tickets for each event’s prizes! There will also be plenty to keep young trail lovers busy, with an all-ages nature hike, Strider bike race, and a kids raffle walk/nature walk, and free face painting by Crazy Woman Face Painting making it a great morning for the whole family!

Attendees will receive a meal, and those 21 and over will be able to enjoy a cold beverage from Black Tooth Brewing Company. Sheridan’s own one-man-band, John Kirlin, will add to the atmosphere with festive festival tunes.

Want to make a day of it in Sheridan? The Suds ‘N Spurs Brewfest starts at 2 pm at Whitney Commons Park. Thanks to a partnership with Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, discounted registration for Trailfest and Suds ‘N Spurs Brewfest is available through Friday, Aug. 9.

Registration begins at 9:30 am. Yoga on the trails and nature hike begin at 10 am. Adult and kids raffle rides/walks/runs 11 am – 12:30 pm. Prize drawing at 12:45 pm.

What is a raffle ride or raffle run/walk?

A raffle ride or raffle run/walk is an event that encourages participation by people of all skill levels. Everyone who participates in an activity will receive a raffle ticket for that activity’s raffle prize drawing. However, if you seek a competitive element in your event, fear not! You will receive a raffle ticket for every lap you complete during an event’s designated time. Complete 2 laps, get 2 tickets. Complete 10 laps, get 10 tickets. The more raffle tickets you earn, the more likely it is you’ll win one of the fantastic raffle prizes!

Where is Red Grade Trails?

Follow State Highway 335 southwest out of Big Horn towards the mountains. Red Grade Trails are located at the base of the mountain about a mile after the pavement ends. Using a navigation service?
