Cloud Peak Accounting provided the City of Buffalo with a report of a clean audit for fiscal year 2018, but tucked in the message was a concern over the enterprise fund governing the city’s water, sewer, and sanitation.
That fund shows assets of $50 and a half million, $3 million in cash and a debt of $6,2 million.
The accounting firm’s Chelsea Feeman cautioned the council regarding the fund…
According to the city’s Julie Silbernagel, depreciation has only been required by the state to be included in the fund’s calculation in most recent years.
Feeman’s overall report stated the city carries $82.5 million in assets with $11million in cash.
The city council vested to accept the audit from Cloud Peak Accounting.
