A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Angela Fox, former Buffalo Chamber of Commerce CEO. Fox has been charged with Felony Theft. The investigation began after rumors of Fox’s alleged misuse of Chamber funds. The investigation revealed that Fox had made unauthorized purchases in excess of $8,000, dating back to 2014.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that between April 6, 2014 through November 18, 2015 Fox made unauthorized purchases in the amount of $3,115.45. Then from January 7, 2016 through June 9, 2016 Fox made unauthorized purchases in the amount of $3,563.00. It was determined that from January 8, 2017 through June 8, 2017 Fox made unauthorized purchases in the amount of $1,945.64.

When the Chamber Board found what they believed to be evidence of credit card misuse they discussed firing Fox or suspending her until the investigation was concluded. Then Chamber Board President, Mark Bentley voiced his concern about saving face for the Chamber. It was then decided that in the interest of keeping it quiet, Fox would resign.

If found guilty, the charges against Fox carry a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and/or fines of up to $10,000.
