Two Sheridan men are accused of kidnapping a Montana woman and killing her in Colorado say they didn’t do it. Casey Childers and Leo Vanbuskirk have each pleaded not guilty to murder, kidnapping, and weapons charges. Investigators say Childers along with Shantel Edlund, and the victim, Rachel Holeman, traveled to the Denver area for what turned out to be a drug run. During a meeting with Edlund, Childers and Vanbuskirk, Holeman was to be dropped off in the middle of nowhere, left to walk back on her own. Because it was suspected she tried to go direct to a supplier. According to court documents in a fit of rage Childers shot and killed Holeman. Childers and Vanbuskirk are awaiting trial. Edlund took a plea to testify against them and was sentenced to 18 years in prison, followe d by 5 years of parole.
