Law Enforcement in Sheridan County saw a few more incidents on New Years Eve than last year, however arrests were down. According to Sheridan Police and the Sheridan County Sheriff incident reports, law enforcement responded to 68 total incidents over the course of New Years Eve and New Years Day, compared to 60 reported incidents last year.
Arrests however, decreased by one. Law enforcement made 7 arrests last year, and 6 arrests over the holiday this year.
The incident count is consistent with years past, showing little change even with the increase in Sheridan’s population. Arrests mainly consisted of DUI’s, assaults, and outstanding warrant arrests.
