One lone lady held a 2-hour vigil on east 5th Street in Sheridan yesterday in an effort to promote suicide prevention in Wyoming.

The number of suicides in the Sheridan and Johnson County area has fallen considerably through the efforts of the PMO and she like others are concerned that the severe cut in funding will cause the number of suicides to grow once again.

Green maintains a Facebook page called “The Darby Pledge” in honor of her son and serves as a point of contact for anyone struggling with suicidal tendencies.
