The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office will be patrolling US Forest Service campgrounds this summer thanks to a memorandum of understanding between the county and the Forest Service.

Sheriff Rod Odenbach explained that the patrols would be done by deputies serving additional hours of overtime…

A second MOU was also approved by the Commission that would allow a reciprocal agreement with the Cheyenne Police Department which will result in some Johnson County Deputies providing coverage during this year’s Cheyenne Frontier Days.
