Retiring Johnson County Library Director Cynthia Twing introduced her replacement, Steve Rzasa, to the Johnson County Commissioners yesterday while also requesting authorization to fill a staff vacancy created when she retires.
Twing indicated it would be an entry-level position and stressed that it needed to be a full-time permanent position.
She also alerted the Commission that the library’s budget would include staff pay raises for the first time in 4 years.
The response from members of the Commission appeared to indicate that current valuations may not be favorable to either of her requests.
