The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum has offered a new series this summer called “Wine About History”.
The museum’s final presentation in the series will take place tonight on the front lawn of the museum beginning at 6pm.
Author Shannon Smith will talk about the Fetterman Fight and how it impacted not just local history but national policies as well.
Smith has written a book entitled “Give Me Eighty Men: Women and the Myth of the Fetterman Fight”
The program is free and those attending are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and their favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.
