As the winner of the button design contest, Ethan received $100 in Chamber Bucks, a framed design entry provided by Expressions Art Gallery and Framing LLC and Button #1.
Buttons went on sale today at the Chamber and participating businesses. Cost is $5 each. The list of participating businesses can be found at www.sheridanwyomingchamber.org. Buttons are sold until Christmas Eve unless they run out. A total of 2,750 buttons are available. Proceeds from the Christmas Stroll and button sales go to new and replacement decorations for the City.
This year’s Christmas Stroll will be held Friday, Nov. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sheridan’s Main Street and Grinnell Plaza. The theme of this year’s Stroll is “Light Up the Night.”
Each participating business will receive a winning button number the night of Stroll. Button holders can visit each participating business to see if their number matches any of those posted in the businesses. Those with a winning number will receive a prize valued at $50 from the business. Button holders also can “Get Caught Shopping” beginning the day after Stroll and the Saturdays through Dec. 15. Chamber Elves will be out looking for people shopping in local businesses and wearing their Stroll buttons. Those caught have the chance to win up to $250 in Chamber Bucks. A total of $4,000 in Chamber Bucks will be given away.
