The city of Buffalo is preparing to accept bids on three major street projects this spring, but it’s unlikely that construction will begin on any of them until next fall.

According to Councilman Wes Haskins, work on Flat Iron Drive is still planned to get underway first, but a couple of issues need to be addressed…

The other two projects, Burritt Avenue between Fort Street and Fetterman Avenue and Fetterman north of Burritt, could be combined in the bid process, but Haskins suggested funding for all three projects won’t be available until tax revenue is collected…

For the any of the projects to begin as early as the fall, the city would have to use capital improvement funds with a reimbursement from the tax revenue coming later.
