The “very preliminary” 2018 year budget reviewed by the Johnson County School District Board of Trustees last night showed a reducti
on in funds from the previous budget year.
Business Manager Eileen Bentley told the board that this early budget shows a reduction $877K, with the general fund estimated to be slightly more than $20,400 and includes more than a half million dollars of that shortfall.

Bentley also warned the board that state funding of the district’s major maintenance budget will probably go away in another year, thus adding to an already tight expenditure plan,
