Submissions are currently being accepted for the Wyoming Wildlife Magazine photo contest. All submitted photos must be taken in Wyoming and cover one of the following categories:
*Wildlife (Wild mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, arthropods, and insects)
*Scenic (Landmarks, scenery, or inanimate objects are prominent)
*Recreation (People enjoying outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, backpacking, skiing etc)
*Flora (wildflowers, foliage, fruiting bodies or other parts of plants)
Each category will award prizes of $300, $200, and $100 to the top three places. The overall Grand Prize winner will receive a prize of $600. All winners will receive five copies of the magazine photo issue, and a print of their winning photo.
Some entries might be selected to appear in the annual Wyoming Wildlife November calendar issue. If so, photographers will receive an additional $50 for each entry selected.
All submissions are done electronically and the deadline to submit a photo is November 19, 2018. Photos can be uploaded at www.wgfd.wyo.gov. Once at the website, click on “Get Involved” / then click “Contests and Awards” / and the photo contest is listed.
