The winter conditions have certainly kept the Buffalo Police Department in dealing with motor vehicle accidents.
For the past two months, Chief Jason Carder’s officers have dealt with an average of one per day. 
Last night, Carder’s report to the City Council included 27 accidents in January following a total of 34 the month of December.
Those accidents also included 3 hit & runs.
The department also handled 2 assaults and 5 suicide attempts.
