The 37th annual Lions Club Fishing Derby took place in surprisingly great weather over the Memorial Day weekend with more than 1300 registrations over the three days.
Cody Veal of Story caught a tag fish worth $1000, on of several tagged fish caught during the event.
Devin Solberg of Gillette was the Grand Prize winner on Saturday with a Wind River Hotel & Dinner Package and Lyle Blake of Buffalo took home $500 in cash on Sunday.
The Grand Prize winner of a 2020 Kymko ATV on Monday was Buffalo’s Brian Bond.
There were 45 other prize winners in the popular event held each year at Lake DeSmet.
