Winifred (Winnie) Miller was born November 29, 1929 in Sheridan, WY, to August and Anna Salstrom. She grew up in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947. She married Victor (Vic) Miller on April 18,1947. They had one son John V. Miller.

Winnie worked as a telephone operator, nursing assistant at Sheridan Memorial Hospital, stay at home mom and railroad wife.

Winnie and Vic were lifelong lovers of traveling and spent 30 years visiting almost every state and Canada, putting several hundred thousand miles on numerous motor homes. She also loved to play slot machines, bingo at the Senior Center, reading, watch her soap operas, going to yard sales, and cook for family. But she was most proud of being Nana to her grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren.

Winnie is preceded in death by her parents August and Anna Salstrom, husband Victor Miller, son John Miller, brother Jim Salstrom, and her beloved dog Magi.

She is survived by sister in law Loretta Salstrom; daughter in law Brenda Miller; grand-daughters; Brandi (and Jeff) Harris, Callie (and Chris) Drell, and Kayla (and Bob) Pollo. Great grandchildren: Braydon Drell, Madison (and Steven) Bruner, and Aubrey Drell. Great-great grandchildren: Kyler Drell, and Julian Bruner. Also, her fury companion Sadie.

Per Winnie’s request there will be a private family service at graveside. With a celebration of life for friends and family at Kalif Shrine Friday February 22, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
