William H. (Bill) Garland, 63, of Sheridan passed away at his home on April 9, 2019 after a valiant battle with cancer. Bill was born on June 7, 1955 to Gerald and Edith Garland and grew up in the Buffalo, WY area.
After graduating from High School in 1973 Bill joined the Army, serving primarily in Germany.
Upon returning to Wyoming he worked for a period of time at Decker Coal Company. Bill then worked for MacWhyte Company where he developed and honed his impressive sales and business skills. In 1992 he formed Garland Enterprises for real estate development. His vision and skills led to the construction of the Sparrowhawk, Nighthawk and the Summit subdivisions.  Under Garland Enterprises he purchased and operated A&B Building Supplies and continued to develop commercial real estate, including East Ridge Industrial Park. Bill always had his eye open for a good project and the prospect of making it happen.
Bill married Donna Keeler in 1983, they later divorced. One of his greatest pleasures was devoting his love to stepchildren Dan Keeler, Julie Keeler (Moore) and step-grandchildren:  Gabrielle, Andy and Grace Moore.
Bill enjoyed collecting and selling classic cars, traveling, cooking, time spent with friends and family and the “art of the deal”.
After a lengthy and happy relationship with Diana Metz they married in a small intimate ceremony at their home on January 1, 2019. They had a celebration of love, family and friendships on March 18th, 2019.
