The traditional kickoff for Buffalo’s Christmas season was delayed by the blizzard conditions on Friday and Saturday as “Light Up Buffalo” was postponed by the Buffalo FFA Chapter.

Also postponed was the Jim Gatchell Museum’s Christmas Open House

While a new date for “Light Up Buffalo” has yet been announced, Gatchell’s open house has been rescheduled for this Saturday from 10 to 3 in the afternoon.

The FFA had planned to continue the tradition of fireworks at Prosinski Park with additional events that included sloppy joe sandwiches at Crazy Woman Square, cookie decorating at St. Luke’s Episopal Church and a kid’s movie at Buffalo Theater.

Again, no word yet on the rescheduling of the fireworks.
