Funeral services for Trudy Durand, 74 year old Midwest resident who passed away Monday morning at the Shepard of the Valley Healthcare Center in Casper, will be held Friday, February 2nd at 10:00 a.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor John Constantine officiating.  Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with private family graveside to follow the funeral.  Donations in Trudy’s memory may be made to the St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. True Dean Durand was born on March 13, 1943 in Idaho to True and Daisy Jones. She moved with her family to Laramie, Wyoming as a young girl where she grew up on the family ranch.  She attended schools in Laramie and graduated from Laramie High School with the class of 1961.  After high school she moved to Buffalo with her family where she met Russell Durand.  Trudy and Russell were married in 1962 in Buffalo where they made their home.  Trudy cooked at several restaurants in Buffalo and in 1970 they moved to Lead, South Dakota where Russell worked in the gold mine.  In 1978 they moved to Casper for a time before moving back to Buffalo and Russell worked in Gillette.  They retired in 1993 and moved to Midwest, Wyoming.  Russell passed away in December of 2014 and Trudy continued living in Midwest until her death.

Trudy loved spending time with her family and enjoyed making rag rugs.  She spent many hours making rag rugs for her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, John Durand and his wife April of Buffalo and Lee Durand of Casper; one daughter Jane Richards and her husband Greg of Midwest; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son James Allen Durand.
