Thomas Louis Lawrence was born on October 17, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Eugene and Clara Lawrence. He grew up and went to school in Indianapolis. He joined the U.S. Air Force in September of 1955 and served in Vietnam.  He was married in the mid 1950’s and received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force in December of 1963 and settled in Wyoming.  That marriage ended and in the mid 1970’s he was married to Vianne Becker and they lived in Casper, Wyoming where Tom worked for Davidson Plumbing and Heating.  In 1975 they moved to Buffalo where he owned and operated Buffalo Plumbing and Heating.  Tom slowed down in the plumbing business in 2007 and did odd jobs until ill health forced him to completely retire in 2015.  He continued living in Buffalo until his death.

Tom was a member of the Plumber and Pipe Fitter’s Union in Casper, the VFW and was a published author who wrote The Great Wyoming Whore Houses.  Tom would always clarify that this was not an off-color book but rather legitimate history.

Dakota and Brian Lawrence and his partner Tanya of Fort Riley, Kansas; three daughters Bobbie Legas and her husband Chris of North Platte, Nebraska, Donna Slayden and her husband Marty of Henderson, Nevada and Lenore Lawrence-Medding and her husband William of Westminster, Maryland; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
