The Johnson County Commission was forced to revise the amount of TANF funds available to three childcare related programs.
A reduction was necessary due to the amount of funds received from the state, something that the Commissioners expected when they made the awards last month.
Funds to Compass were revised down to $20,250 from $25,000.
The award to the Boys & Girls Club of the Bighorns dropped from $20,000 to $16,300 and the Children’s Center will now receive $12,850 instead of $16,000.
TANF or (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) is a federally funded grant program that provides states the ability to create and administer their own assistance programs for families in needs.
