Broadway Street between Luminous Brewhouse and Black Tooth Brewing Company will be closed to traffic over the weekend so Sheridan can hold its first ever Winter WYO Rodeo on Saturday.
The City of Sheridan will truck in approximately 3,000 cubic yards of snow in order to cover the street and build the course for the skijoring competition. Shawn Parker, Executive Director for Sheridan Travel and Tourism, who is organizing the event, explains what will be going on.
Skijoring is a sport where a person on skis is pulled by a horse along a course marked with jumps and other obstacles. The competition will be sanctioned by Skijoring America, which is the main skijoring association in the country.
