The Sheridan Police Department welcomed a new member to the police force on Wednesday, when Officer Johnathon Stallions took his oath of service at Sheridan City Council Chambers.

Police Chief Richard Adriaens introduced Stallions, along with his family to the crowd in Council Chambers. Stallions, a former marine and former correctional officer, said he ended up in Sheridan due to his wife’s family connections to the area.

Mayor Roger Miller presided over the ceremony and delivered Stallions’ oath of service. Several additional members of Sheridan Police, Sheridan’s Dispatch Center, and Local Firefighters were present as well, and joined in the oath.

Police Chief Richard Adriaens said the police department is still looking to make two additional police officer hires in the near future.
