The Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) more than doubled their end-of-the-year fundraising goal after a donor pledged a $25,000 match in their last funding cycle.
Director of Marketing and Development for SCLT, Chris Vrba, said that thanks to all of the land trust’s “friends,” they were able to more than triple the match, and raise a total of $110,302.
Vrba said the money raised will go to support the construction of trails around Sheridan County, including one that will connect the Sheridan Pathways system to the trails.
According to Vrba, SCLT has secured over 3,000 acres that is protected from development in Sheridan County through conservation easements.
