Robert Eugene Severance, 72, formerly of Sheridan, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2019 at Shepherd of the Valley in Casper, WY. Bob was born November 6, 1946 in Sheridan, WY, to parents, Milton and Ethel (Niles) Severance.
Robert’s passion in life was working with leather, making gifts for family and friends. His hobbies were four wheeling and fishing with his “BEST BUDDIES,” Joe and Gary Mentock and George Baertsch; camping with Dave and Deb at the Jolovich family reunions and sharing fishing chats with Bob Allen.
He enjoyed chatting with good friends Don and Louise Horsley, Dorothy Baertsch, Tom and Mary Manolis and his coffee buddies.
Robert served in the United States Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device and the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
Robert married Pamela Edwards Wartensleben on May 24, 1980.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Pamela, his parents Milton and Ethel, brother William and sisters Barbara Jean Roadifer and Bertha Grubb. He is survived by his stepsons Dave Wartensleben (partner Deb Kelly) of Sheridan, WY, Tom (Mary) Wartensleben of Crow Agency, MT, special nephew Bill (Brenda) Roadifer of Milford, CA, the “twins” Janis Hughes and Jayme Dunn of Anthem, AZ and many other family members.
Services for Bob will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Goodwin officiating. Bob will be interred with his wife at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ.
