Private family funeral services for Robert “Bob” Lacitinola, 78 year old Buffalo resident who passed away at Johnson County Memorial Hospital, will be held at a later date.

Donations in Mr. Lacitinola’s memory may be made to the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice or St. Francis Animal Shelter in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Robert Dominic Lacitinola was born May 18, 1940 in San Jose, California to Dominic and Anne Lacitinola. He grew up in Santa Clara where he graduated from Santa Clara High School with the class of 1958. He married Sandy Costello June 14, 1964, and they raised their two children in Durham, Robert Jr. and Kim. In November of 1995 they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming to be close to their son and daughter-in-law. Bob was the owner of Bob’s Cleaning Service in Buffalo till the time of his retirement in 2009. Bob and Sandy remained in Buffalo with their dog Abby until the time of his death.

Bob was a bright light to everyone who met him. Always loving and cheerful to family, friends, and even strangers. He made some very special friends in his 23 years in Buffalo. Bob learned his love of hunting and fishing as a boy with his father; he continued to share this with his son and daughter-in-law. He loved sharing his knowledge with the neighbor kids and anyone who was interested and giving them treasures from his hunting and fishing adventures. He blessed many with his handmade walking sticks.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, DeeJay Lacitinola. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy, his son Robert Lacitinola Jr. and his wife Linda of Orofino, Idaho; his daughter Kim Jackson and grandson Sorren of Seattle, Washington.
