The growing popularity of “pickleball” has a group of local citizens seeking the use of the vacant tennis courts in Washington Park for the sport.
Tim Kirven, representing a group called Cloud Peak Pickleball, addressed the Buffalo City Council last week to ask permission to make the necessary improvements on the courts to accommodate a sport that is a little like tennis and a little like badminton…
The council voted unanimously to allow the group to make the necessary changes and directed city attorney Ben Kirven to draft a memorandum of understanding with Cloud Peak Pickleball.
