Funeral services for Patricia Parsons, 56-year-old Buffalo woman who passed away early Sunday morning, will be held Wednesday, September 19th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Doug Brothers and Pat Huber officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until noon. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Patty’s memory may be made to the St Francis Animal Shelter or to the family to help defray final expenses in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Patricia Ellen Johansen was born on May 30th, 1962 in Middlefield, Ohio. She was the youngest of four children. She spent most of her youth between Aurora, Ohio and Tuscan, Arizona. Growing up she became very interested in cars and racing. She attended Trade School for electronics in Ohio. In 1980 she came to Wyoming to visit her favorite aunt in Newcastle; falling in love with the area she made her home there. Shortly after coming to Wyoming she met Everett Parsons and they were married December 18th, 1984. They continued to make their home in Newcastle where she became a very devoted mother and worked a few jobs. In 1992 the family relocated to Buffalo, Wyoming where their daughter, Nicole, and son, Levi, attended school. While living in Buffalo she worked for various companies including, Ouray’s Printing, Sanjel, Buckingham Lumber, and most recently O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. She would challenge her husband for the title of biggest gearhead in the family. She was able to fix almost anything auto related. She was very outgoing and always willing to help anyone. She loved to spend her free time in the mountains camping and riding four-wheelers. Her most prized treasures are her two beautiful grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Everett Parsons of Buffalo; her daughter, Nicole Parsons of Buffalo; her son, Levi Parsons and his wife Tiffany of Arvada, Colorado; two grandchildren, Trey and Lillian Parsons; one sister, Carol Overbeck and her husband Mike of Trinity, Texas; and two brothers, Donald Johansen and his wife Nancy; and Mark Johansen of Ravenna, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and Charles Scott.
