On Monday, September 11th Pastor Ted Ridenour passed away in his home in Buffalo, Wyoming.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21st, at 10:00 a.m. from the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Lawrence, Kansas with Pastor Melvin Jones and Mark Reeves officiating.  Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence with graveside services to follow the funeral. Teddy Joe Ridenour was born on February 26, 1956 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Clarence and Yvonne Ridenour.  He started school in Bartlesville and moved with his family to Lawrence, Kansas when he was in the 5th grade.  He graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1974 and was married on December 6, 1974 in Lawrence to Vickie Cotton and they made their home in Bartlesville where Ted worked at TRW.  They later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and in 1989 they moved to Springfield, Missouri where Ted attended Central Bible College and received a B.A. Degree with a double major in Pastoral Ministries and Bible in 1995.  After entering the ministry Ted and Vickie pastored churches in Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, and Wyoming. Most recently they pastored the New Life Assembly of God Church in Buffalo, Wyoming until his death.

Ted’s passion was his family and he spent his time doing those things that involved his grandchildren.  He loved to take them fishing, hiking, canoeing, biking and church. He always looked forward to their summer vacations into mountains of Colorado and Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife Vickie of Buffalo; two sons, Byron Ridenour of Springfield, Missouri and Dallas Ridenour and his wife Robin of Independence, Missouri; one daughter Amanda Tillery and her husband Chad of Marceline, Missouri; two brothers, Bob Ridenour of Independence, Missouri and Jeff Ridenour of Lawrence, Kansas and ten grandchildren, Hunter, Jayla, Addison, Ciera, Emree, Drake, Reece, Gage, Anna, and Alexandria.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
