The Buffalo City Council bid farewell to the certified Main Street program at it’s meeting Tuesday night.

A part of the city’s downtown efforts for the past 8 years, each of the council members and Mayor Shane Schrader mentioned the state organization’s bureaucracy and a short window for reapplying as the primary reasons for the city’s decision.

The Council and Mayor voted not to move forward with Main Street with Councilman Scott Madsen abstaining.
