More than 3500 vaccines have been administered in Sheridan County as of yesterday morning.

While that amounts to slightly more than 10% of the county’s population, it does not include more than 1000 vaccinations done at Public Health.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Addlesperger announced that the hospital will begin giving the 2nd doses of the Pfiser vaccine and are now working off of Priority list 1d that includes those residents 65 and older…

Last week, Dr. Addlesperger commented on the large number of residents over the age of 70 and that the number receiving the vaccine has been lower than expected.  At this time, there has not been an increase in that age group getting inoculated…

The hospital is now preparing to add teachers to the priority list in the days ahead.
