Private family interment for Mike Turk, 63 year old lifetime Buffalo resident who passed away Wednesday at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper will be held by his family next summer. Donations in Mike’s memory may be made to the Mike Turk Memorial, a fund set up to help the family with final medical expenses in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Michael Halsey Turk was born on February 18, 1954 in Buffalo to Howard and Bonnie Turk. He grew up and went to school in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School with the class of 1973. After high school he worked at various jobs in Montana, Kansas, Nevada and Gillette. He moved back to Buffalo in 1979 and went to work for his dad at Howard’s Electric. He was married on March 3rd, 1979 in Buffalo to Tera Howard and they lived in Buffalo where Mike worked as an electrician. He was divorced in 1984 and on July 22, 1999 he was married to Kandy Will and they made their home in Buffalo. In 2005 Mike and Kandy purchased Howard’s Electric which they owned and operated until he semi-retired in 2012. Mike continued working until ill health forced him to retire in 2017.
Mike was an avid fisherman and loved spending time in the Big Horns. His passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Kandy of Buffalo; his father Howard Turk also of Buffalo; three sons, Joshua Michael Turk and his wife Amy of Bradenton, Florida, Tyler Mickelson of Casper and Kyle Heisey of Buffalo; two daughters, Rebecca Rose Turk of Tallahassee, Florida and Shelby Spratt and Her husband Nathan of Buffalo; two brothers Larry Turk and his wife Roxy and Kent Turk and his wife Patty all of Buffalo; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and other brother Dave.
