Funeral services for Max Jennings, 80 year old Buffalo man who passed away at Green House Living for Sheridan Wednesday evening, will be held Sunday, March 12th at 1:00 p.m., from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo, with Pastor Stephen Martin officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Military graveside services will follow the funeral in Willow Grove Cemetery. Donations in Mr. Jennings’ memory may be made to Green House Living for Sheridan, in care of the Harness Funeral Home, at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Max Antone Jennings was born on November 3, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lester and Clara Jennings. He grew up in California and graduated from high school in the San Diego area. He joined the U.S. Navy, in 1958, and served on a submarine and also during the Vietnam War. He spent a total of twenty years in the Navy before retiring in 1978. He was married on September 3, 1977, in Oakland, California to Carol Mills and they made their home in Modesto, California. They moved to Buffalo, in 2004. Max spent some time living at the Veteran’s Home of Wyoming before moving into Green House Living for Sheridan, where he lived until his death.

He was a member of the American Legion and attended Summit Wesleyan Church and also Cornerstone Church in Sheridan. Max loved to write poetry and enjoyed sharing with others.

He is survived by his wife Carol Jennings of Buffalo; three daughters, Sharon Torres of Stockton, California, Holly Keas and her husband John Gross of Arcadia, California, and Heather Nelson and her husband Ricky of Buffalo; two sisters, Bertie Morgan of Elk Grove, California and Molly Phillips of Grants Pass, Oregon and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and two grandsons.
