A celebration of the life of Lowell Ott, 83 year old Buffalo resident who passed away Tuesday afternoon April 2, 2019 at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held Friday, April 12th at 2:00 PM from the Big Horn Baptist Church, with Pastor Don Paulson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Mr. Ott’s memory may be made to the Buffalo Senior Center in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Lowell Ott was born April 2, 1936 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, to Herbert and Anna (Griffith) Ott. He grew up and received his part of his education in Doylestown, before being drafted into the US Army, where he received his GED while serving. After returning from the service he married Alice Marie Fero on October 15, 1961, in Woodleaf, North Carolina; after which they made their home in Doylestown, Pennsylvania where he worked in maintenance and construction.
Lowell began coming to Buffalo in the late 1990’s, to hunt with Triple Three Outfitters; he was later hired to be the camp chef. He and Alice moved to Buffalo in 2004 and remained until his death. Lowell loved to hunt, fish, and volunteer. He was active in the Loyal Order of the Moose and Meals on Wheels.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons, Ed and Cheryl Ott of New Braunfels, TX, and James and Shannon Ott of Buffalo, WY.; three brothers, Robert Ott of Grant’s Pass, Oregon, Donald Ott of Longview, New Jersey, and John Ott of Chalfont, Pennsylvania; five sisters, Sylvia Bechtel of Montrose, Pennsylvania, Linda Tweed of Green Lane, Pennsylvania, Nadine Hager of Sterling, Pennsylvania, Susan Schanck of Virginia and Lois Boyington of Florida; two granddaughters, Leslie and Zachary Plummer of Bountiful, Utah, and Sara Ott of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
