The report from Nelson Engineering’s Brent Bennett to the Buffalo City Council last week on the Lobban Avenue Project was that the two-year plan came in under budget by more than a half million dollars.

He pointed to a much-improved intersection at Benteen and Lobban and better drainage of storm run-off as two major benefits to the project…
The use of concrete is expected to provide significant cost-savings for the city in terms of maintenance.
Nelson’s Engineering has estimated that approximately 315 truck-loads of concrete was poured for streets, gutters, and sidewalks in completing the project.
