Lenore C. Long was brought home to Buffalo to be laid to rest with her husband, Dr. Harvey J. Long. Lenore was a Buffalo native, born in 1897 to Mildred (Millie) Senff Cosslett and Joe G. Cosslett, and graduated from Johnson County High School in 1915. She was an active member of the Gray Ladies, Eastern Star, and choir member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She also founded the first Job’s Daughters Bethel in Buffalo. Granny Long is remembered for making the best Christmas cookies, Angel Food Cake and her love of playing the piano.

 

She is survived by her son, Martin H. Long (Jane) of Denver, CO and her grandchildren, Martha Long of Denver, CO and John Long (Tracy) of Memphis, TN and her great grandson, Andrew (AJ) Long. Her grandson, H. Scott Long, born July 7, 1965 and died August 27, 1995 in Denver, CO, was buried with Lenore and Harvey Long in Willow Grove Cemetery on August 15, 2017.
