Lenard C. Fall, 90, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018, at the Billings Clinic. Lenard passed peacefully surrounded by his family.

Lenard Fall was born on October 29th, 1927, in Custer, SD. He was the youngest child with five brothers and three sisters. His parents were Robert Fall and Maude Drake. Lenard attended high school in Sundance, WY where he meet his wife Dorothy, who was from the neighboring town of Moorcroft, WY. Lenard and Dorothy were married August 1, 1948. As a young man he worked in the Black Hills, skidding logs with his horse Coaly. They moved to Sheridan, WY in the early 1950’s. He was active in the community where he belonged to the Elks Lodge, Kiwanis Club, Quarterback Club, and the Chamber of Commerce. He also coached little league baseball.

He loved listening to classic country music, one of his favorites was Conway Twitty.  He enjoyed being an outdoorsman, whether it was fishing or hunting. He also bowled for many years. His favorite sports teams were out of Denver. He loved to listen to the Nuggets, Broncos and Rockies games. Lenard was constantly checking the weather and loved to share this information with anyone who asked. Despite living in Wyoming most of his life, he never enjoyed the cold weather; he always kept the house overly warm. Lenard enjoyed playing card games with friends and family. He also liked putting together puzzles. Every morning he would do the word scramble in the newspaper on scratch paper, so that Dorothy could solve the scramble in the newspaper herself.

Lenard worked for Spring Creek Coal over ten years before retiring in the spring of 1991. He was known for his humor and loved to joke with everyone he came across. Lenard loved his coffee, which he drank black, at all hours of the day. He lived for the love of his life, Dorothy and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Fall and his three children, Robert (& Deborah) Fall, William (& Cynthia) Fall, and Rebecca (Fall) Rader. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will be holding a celebration of Lenard’s life this summer.
