Julie A. Pierson, 82, of Palmer Township passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at home with her family by her side.
Born May 1, 1936 in Buffalo, Wyoming she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Felipa Rodriguez-Guerra Cortez.
Her husband, Lewis Pierson, died January 6, 2000. She was a kitchen worker with the Hunterdon State School in Clinton, NJ before her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard with her flowers; crocheting and dancing. She was devoted to her family.
Julie is survived by six sons Lewis in Colorado, Jack and wife, Lori of Nazareth, PA, Philip and wife, Tammy of Washington, NJ, Rick and wife, Kelly, of Nazareth, PA, Kenny and wife, Lisa of Stockertown, PA and Tom and wife, Cindy of Buffalo, WY; a daughter Tracy Pierson of Palmer Twp; brother Tony Cortez and wife, Joanne of Casper, WY; sister Mickey Ridgeway of Denver, CO; twenty one grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers Mike and Pete, died earlier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12 p.m. (Noon) in the funeral home. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to time of services in the funeral home.
