Jessie Rosalez, 72, peacefully passed away at his home, on January 19, 2019, surrounded by family, after a two and a half year battle with cancer.
Jessie was born November 5, 1946 in Odem, Texas, to Silberio and Andrea (Frausto) Rosalez. The family moved to Basin, Wyoming, where Jessie grew up and attended high school. Jessie moved to Sheridan in 1967 at the age of 21, where he met and later married the love of his life, Josephine Trujillo, on September 27, 1969. Jessie and Josie raised three boys; Ken and Joey, and an adopted son Mick Fellows. Jessie worked in and around the Sheridan area prior to starting his own business in lawn care and snow removal. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, coaching his boys in sports, watching football, and spending time with his grandchildren. Jessie was well known for his training and coaching with USA Amateur Boxing Association. Jessie’s time with his family was an absolute priority. He was lovingly devoted to his wife and family. He was known for his honesty, integrity, work ethic and great sense of humor. He was also a member of the Sheridan Elks Club. On any given Friday night Jessie could be seen around town wearing his big, black cowboy hat, dancing boots and wide, welcoming smile. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends around the community. He was a kind soul with a heart of gold. He loved many of his nieces and nephews like they were his own. Jessie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Silberio Rosalez Jr., and Virginio “Keno” Rosalez. He is survived by his wife Josephine, sons Ken Rosalez (Stacie) and Joey Rosalez (Stephanie) all of Sheridan, and Mick Fellows (Renea) of Glenrock, Wyoming. He is also survived by his sisters; Epifania Garcia, Mary Chavez, and Damonte Pierson all of Sheridan and Rosa Rodriguez, Sinton, TX. He is survived by seven grandchildren; Colton Rosalez, Braxton Rosalez, Casie Wills (Carsten), Quinton Rosalez, Bryce Rosalez, Hailey Rosalez, and Adyson Rosalez and three great-grandchildren; Amiyah Brilz, Hudson Wills, and Elliot Wills.
