During last week’s Johnson County Commission set the amount of Optional 1% tax revenue they intend to allocate for the current year.
Approximately $1.5 million of collected taxes is in the 1% account with $938K allocated previously to projects, leaving the remaining amount unobligated.
The commission reserved $600K for county needs and authorized the remaining $200K to be allocated to non-governmental entities.
